StoriesToArt.com is Live!

StoriesToArt is excited to announce its official entrance into the online art marketplace!

Launched on May 29, 2017 in Charlottesville, VA, StoriesToArt is a new kind of gallery — one with a unique focus on personal stories, one-of-a-kind work of all mediums, and the spirit of collaboration. StoriesToArt enables customers to select or commission exclusive pieces of art, poetry, or music directly inspired by their stories. The result is a powerful and personal work of art — for themselves or as the perfect gift — that allows professional artists to express their own styles based on customers’ creative input.

“When I was in elementary school, I published a magazine about art, poetry and stories about the same time my brother gave me Crimson and Clover by Tommy James and the Shondells.  Ever since, I’ve been totally hooked on all aspects of art,” explains Founder and CEO, Tracy Landon, “But is wasn’t until my only child headed off to college and I lay in a puddle, feeling like a body part had been ripped from me, that I had a revelation: our memories are what really matter.  And that’s how StoriesToArt began.”

An avid art-lover (and -buyer) herself, Landon noticed a hole in the marketplace in 2014 and an opportunity to fill it: the ability for buyers to select and commission works based off of keywords and search filters specific to their own personal stories and shared memories. Some of the more unique filter categories include “Artwork Underlying Themes” and “Personality Type.” Moreover, StoriesToArt offers more than what online art-shoppers typically think of as “art” — buyers can also commission original songs and poetry, perfect for special occasions and memorable gifts. The site even includes a filter-based gift guide to help shoppers easily find the perfect piece for their recipient.

“It’s so difficult to find gifts that are truly meaningful. With StoriesToArt, we’re hoping to connect people through art, music and poetry inspired by shared memories.” —Tracy Landon, Founder and CEO
